On the water with the Haske Family | Cedarville, MI

In July, I spent a couple of hours with the Haske family on their boat in Cedarville, Michigan, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Les Cheneaux Islands. After learning that they spend a lot of time on the water, their boat became an obvious choice of backdrop for capturing the silly and sweet family connection.

We took a quick boat cruise to The Ice Cream Shoppe, which is right on the water in Cedarville, another family favorite activity. We also spent some time at the playground and finished up with a cruise around one of the islands as sailboats glided all around.

When I asked the mom what she hoped to see in these photos 25 years from now, her response was heartfelt: "We hope our kids can look at these pictures and say, ‘Wow, my mom and dad loved us SO much.’ We want them to remember and feel the love, warmth, and happiness that makes our family."

It was clear that this session wasn’t just about capturing smiles; it was about preserving the essence of their family’s bond.
